Mushroom coral eats Pipefish like spaghetti

Mushroom Coral eating Dragonface Pipefish in Red Sea Max 250

This mushroom coral is in my Red Sea Max 250 tank and grows really well. It spreads out and stings smiley polyp’s Zooanthid buddies. Today, I found this bully consuming my Dragonface Pipefish, one of my favorite fish in the tank. I didn’t know such a small mushroom could try and succeed at consuming something so big and long. Damn you mushroom coral, damn you! I feel guilty for taking a photo of this gruesome spectacle, but am I a bad person for really liking this shot?

For reference, the “mouth” of the mushroom coral is less than half a centimeter.
